Absorption Losses Measurements
Request for Quotation >Absorption losses are a very important parameter of optical materials used in high power lasers applications.
Raicol Crystals implements a high sensitive method using Common Path Interferometer (CPI) for losses measurements.
Using CPI low absorption losses on the ppm level are measured in the crystal following areas:
- the bulk of the crystal
- The surface of the crystal
- The coating layers
Many materials exhibit degradation over time due to accumulative absorption losses during operation.
Time dependent absorption measurements enables evaluation of optical degradation level of the materials within the short time in order to predict their life time.
Raicol performs absorption measurements at three wavelengths:
- 1064nm
- 532nm
- 355nm
